A beautifully weathered antique Canada Goose decoy, full of the quiet character and sculptural quality we love in old utilitarian pieces. Crafted from a papier-mâché/resin composite, the goose is captured in a graceful resting pose, its long black neck curving back toward the body.
Its heavily aged painted surface is especially beautiful, with softened shades of brown, cream and black and layers of natural wear that have developed over time. A simple black fabric ribbon has been tied loosely around the neck, adding a subtle textile detail without taking away from the wonderfully primitive nature of the piece.
At approximately 24 inches, it has beautiful scale and makes a striking decorative object on its own.
